Event terms & community guidelines.

Event registration

When you register for an event, we may collect information needed to manage it, including your name, email address, phone number and, where supplied, your job title, company and LinkedIn profile.

Event partners

Our events may be supported by co-organisers, speakers and sponsors, collectively referred to as partners. If you explicitly opt in during registration, your name, job title, company and LinkedIn profile may be shared for professional networking, including in an attendee directory shared with attendees, speakers and event partners.

Your email address and phone number are not shared with partners. Partners that receive attendee information must comply with applicable data-protection and marketing law. The directory must not be used for unsolicited bulk marketing.

Photography, video & audio

Events are generally photographed or recorded. Recordings may be used in community updates, social posts, website content and promotion for future events. You may appear in those recordings.

If you prefer not to be recorded, tell an organiser when you arrive and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.

Community conduct

We want welcoming, inclusive and professional communities. Treat other people with respect. Harassment, discriminatory or inappropriate language, and disruptive behaviour are not accepted. Organisers may remove anyone whose behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate.

Data protection, retention & rights

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. It is used to manage registrations, communicate about events, support community networking and, only where you have opted in, share agreed profile details with partners. We do not sell personal data.

Information is kept only as long as needed to operate events, maintain appropriate participation records and meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. See our privacy notice for more information.

Right to refuse or cancel

We may cancel a booking or refuse entry where an attendee is not the intended audience, has a material history of non-attendance, or has previously disrespected community members, partners or organisers.

If you do not agree with these terms, cancel your reservation by contacting the team before the event.

Content & liability

Event content is intended to encourage further learning and is not consultancy advice. To the extent permitted by law, TechMeetup.Space and its partners are not responsible for direct or indirect loss resulting from event content or refusal of entry. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
